Emmett Shear: From Twitch to OpenAI's Interim CEO to Softmax

The most obviously public struggle was the four days in November 2023. Twitch's breakthrough was the demographic and business-model discovery that live-streaming — especially of games, esports, and creator content — could sustain a massive consumer business at scale.
